Very Small Things

A photograph of a fairy-fly wasp by M.I.

According to National Geographic News, the above photograph of a fairy-fly wasp won first prize in the ‘Best Pictures of Microscopic Life’ category of the 2008 BioScapes competition. It was taken by M. I. “Spike” Walker, a photographer who appears to be very good at capturing the beauty of very small things.
