Bedtime Reading
Elisabeth Bumiller notes in an election report for The New York Times that Barack Obama has recently been reading Ghost Wars: The Secret History of the C.I.A., Afghanistan and Bin Laden, a book by Steve Coll published by Penguin. I saw a copy of Ghost Wars when I was in Dubai Airport this August, but didn’t buy it as I had already bought far too many books that day. It did sound interesting though, and I’m more intrigued now as I can’t imagine Obama devoting precious time to a book related to foreign policy that hadn’t been recommended to him by one of his many foreign policy advisors.
So, if anyone has a copy that they’ve finished reading and don’t want, let me know and we can arrange some sort of exchange (one possibility: you send me the book, I send you a 12 x 8 print of one of my photographs).
